What a week we were treated to in Week 8. The chaos of Cleveland downing Baltimore, New York falling to New England, and Jayden Daniels’ late hail mary for the win were almost too much for Scott Hansen to handle on Red Zone. It was a fantastic display of football and a reminder of why the NFL is the best reality TV show around. Also, it is great to see that scoring is firmly back in our lives.

The Week Seven NFL slate was peppered with intriguing matchups that changed how we view several of the league’s best teams. The best matchup of the week was probably the Detroit Lions handing Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings their first loss of the season to claim the top spot in the NFC North. The Packers also grabbed a huge win this week, barely edging the Houston Texans in a 24-22 victory, which brings them to 5-2. Kansas City won their Super Bowl rematch against the San Francisco 49ers in a game that wasn’t particularly close, and Russell Wilson shone brightly in his first start for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Week 5 of the NFL continued to develop our understanding of who each of these teams really are, separating the cream of the crop from the average. Houston got a big win over Buffalo, the Ravens somehow managed a win over Cincinnati, and Minnesota and Kansas City stayed perfect. Plus, Kirk Cousins showed us that he’s fully healthy and able to ball out at an elite level given the right circumstances, throwing for over 500 yards against Baker and the Bucs. The first firing of the year just occurred, as the Jets parted ways with Robert Saleh following a 2-3 start, which signals the critical nature of every game moving forward. With that being said, let’s get right into the Week 6 slate.

We’ve now seen four weeks of football, and the fraudulent teams have really started to show themselves. The Philadelphia Eagles got embarrassed on the road against Baker’s Bucs, and it's starting to feel like a continuation of the slump that ended last year. After some of the weird results we saw in Week 1, it seems Week 2 has over-corrected, keeping us in the dark, with powerhouses such as San Francisco, Baltimore, Dallas, and Detroit all losing to teams that were considerable underdogs.

What a blockbuster Week 1 that was, with lots of fascinating storylines to dive into. First, let’s pour one out for the Browns and Giants fans who have to endure another year of Deshaun Watson and Daniel Jones. That was ugly, and the horizon is looking pretty bleak. On a more positive note, the 49ers and Chiefs picked up right where they left off, and somehow look even better than they did before. That's a scary proposition for those hoping to challenge them for the conference titles.

Week 2. Heat is on. In the effort of full transparency (we’ll track all year), last week we went 13/29 on the player props. That’s 44.8% and if I’m being honest, full self evaluation here…fairly impressed with the results coming into week 1 of the season. NON BIASED. Look props are tough bets and we’re not over here just picking like 5 of the best for the week, we are finding ONE bet per team per game. Noble cause by me (if I do say so myself).
