Las Vegas Raiders +9.5 vs Denver Broncos 1U

The Broncos are good. The Raiders are bad. But can the Raiders cover 9.5? They've gotten crushed in their last 2 road games; losing by a combined score of 71-6 to the Chiefs and Colts. Now they have to play in the altitude at Mile High. On the surface, that doesn't look good for the Raiders. The X factor for the team; Brock Bowers. He is a great pass protector and route runner; an elite TE that has a huge impact when he's on the field. He has missed 3 games due to injuries, which included the Colts and Chiefs games. Now that he's back, the offense is significantly better. The Raiders did trade away WR Jakobi Meyers this week at the trade deadline, but he didn't want to be on that team, so I don't think his loss will really be felt. On the other side of the ball, the Broncos are riding a 6 game win streak. But most of those wins have been squeakers, with 4 of them coming by 4 or fewer points. The Broncos defense is top 5 in the league. Their offense is mid-tier, and very inconsistent. The GridironAI spread model has the Raiders covering at 57%. I think the Raiders can keep it inside the number as long as Geno Smith doesn't add to his league leading 11 interceptions. The GridironAI team scoring model predicts 43 total points, which is exactly where the line is.
