Primetime games this week have been absolutely amazing. Hopefully this continues with another barn burner tonight. The Colts, once sat atop the AFC at 7-1, have watched their season unravel, losing 5 of their last 6 games, and are now without starting QB, Daniel Jones. But 4 of their 5 losses have come to playoff bound teams, and 4 of them were 1 score games. Grandpa Phillip Rivers is now under center. He was ok in his first game last week, as they mainly had him throw check downs and short dump passes. The Colts do have a strong running game with Jonathan Taylor. The 49ers defense is middle of the pack against the run and pass. The Colts have the #4 rushing defense, allowing just 95 yards per game. But they have the 3rd to last pass defense. Despite have CMC, San Francisco is 7th to last in rushing yards per game, but they are 5th in passing yards per game. So the 49ers could have a field day throwing the ball. But if they get up, and choose to just run the ball every time late in the game, that will play into the strength of Colts defense and could help keep them in the game.
