This could be one of the best primetime matchups we get all season. I'll get right to it. I like the Rams. I understand why this line is Seahawks -1.5, since the game is in Seattle. These teams played last month and the Rams won 21-19. The Seahawks defense held the Rams offense in check, and if it wasn't for Sam Darnolds 4 interceptions, the Seahawks would have easily won this game. But we know the the Jets version of Darnold can show up at any time. The Rams were up 21-12 in the 4th quarter and then started playing prevent offense; just running the ball and throwing dink passes. This led to three 3-and-outs, and gave the Seahawks a late touchdown to close the gap, and a late 61 FG attempt that could have won the game. Rams Coach, Sean McVay, won't make that mistake again. With the exception of playing 1 bad game vs. the Panthers, the Rams have been crushing the bad teams, and still beating the good ones. Seattle, on the other hand, yes they beat down some of the bad teams, but they've also made some of them unnecessarily close, beating the Titans by only 5, and the Phillip Rivers led Colts last week by 2. Both of these teams have Top 10 offenses, with the Rams being #2. The passing game is the strength of both teams, with Rams ranking #2 and the Seahawks #8. They are also both Top 5 in points scored per game. Defensively the edge goes to the Seahawks, and their Top 5 defense. The difference in this game could come down to turnovers. The Seahawks have the second most giveaways of any team, with 23, and they have a turnover margin of -1. The Rams are 6th is takeaways, and have a turnover margin of +9. In the games the Rams have lost, turnovers were the difference. Versus SF they lost the TO battle by 2. Versus the Panthers they lost the TO battle by 3. As long as the Rams control the giveaways, they should be able to force some takeaways, and with the adjustments from their meeting last game, they win this game. The Rams will likely be without #2 WR, Davonte Adams, which will hurt their offense. Beyond being a great receiver, he takes some of the focus of #1 WR, Puka Nacua. But the Seahawks will be missing their starting left tackle, Charles Cross. 75% of the GridironAI spread models like the Rams to cover with 1.5 points.
