Game Analysis
The Bills are 4-1, but they've played a very weak schedule. They rank 3rd to last in run defense, so hopefully Bijan Robinson can run all over this team. Running games also tend to support lower scoring, by keeping the clock running. The Falcons have been a Dr. Jekkly and Mr. Hyde team. Playing tough games against the Bucs and Commanders, but then get whipped by the Panthers. Which version of the Falcons will show up tonight? The GAI team scoring model projects a score of 26-22 Bills, right in line with the point spread, and suggesting line value on the Under 50. The GAI main spread model on the site gives a slight edge to the Falcons, but the other models support the Falcons even more, as high as 69%. We are riding with the Falcons +3.5 tonight.
The Commanders will be light on the WR ranks, missing Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown. The Bears rank dead last in yards per carry defense, and second to last in rushing yards allowed per game. This should make the Commanders more one dimensional. Both teams rank near the bottom in explosive pass plays, as both QBs lack accuracy on deep routes. With the Commanders running the ball a lot, and the lack of explosive play potential by both teams, I like the Under 49.5. Remember, this matchup last year was the infamous Fail Mary, that had 33 total points. The GAI team scoring models projects a score of 26-21 Commanders. This is right in line with the game line of Commanders -5.5, and supports the value on the Under 49.5. The GAI main spread model on the site gives a solid 67% confident to the Bears to cover, but the other models actually give the edge to Commanders. I personally think this could come down to a late score, either by the Bears to cover via the backdoor, or the Commanders to make it a 2 score game. So right now, no official play on the side for this game.
